BIOGRAPHY

I love creating pieces that inspire viewers to relate to a feeling. I want to capture the voice that visual art can sing when given the chance to be tuned into by the viewer. The voices my art advocates for are significant matters that align with many people's lived experiences, such as my own, like mental health exploration, emotion curation, memory recall, and aspects of identity. My ultimate goal is to foster a connection with the viewer through my art, as social connection and emotion processing are the thumping heartbeat of each piece I make.
I am an interdisciplinary, illustrative artist. I love dabbling in all creative outlets, yet to focus solely on the visual art I make, I primarily use traditional media and love investigating color theory. My favorite media include graphite, ink, alcohol-based markers, colored pencils, soft oil pastels, gouache, and acrylic paint. When creating work for my personal endeavors, I tend to prioritize depicting figures, capturing conceptual feelings, and exploring fictional and lived stories. My work is not universal, as no one can perfectly fulfill every person's preference, but I believe those meant to connect with my work will tune in and hear the messages I sing. Perhaps they, too, will find my visual song and harmonize with me.
